Anti-GBM is an ELISA test for the quantitative determination of IgG antibodies against components of the glomerular basement membrane (GBM) in human serum or plasma.
These antibodies attack the C-terminal end of the alpha-3 chain of type IV collagen (NC1 alpha-3 IV).
The detection of these autoantibodies is unequivocal serological evidence for the diagnosis of Goodpasture syndrome, an autoimmune disease of the kidneys.
Format: ELISA kit, 96-well microplate format.
