Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a luer slip and a luer lock syringe?

A luer slip syringe has a smooth conical tip that a needle or connector is pushed onto by friction, which makes it quick to use for routine injections. A luer lock tip has a threaded collar that screws the needle, stopcock or IV connector in place, so the connection cannot slip off under pressure - the usual choice for IV lines, viscous drugs and high-pressure injection.

What is a catheter tip syringe used for?

A catheter tip syringe has a long tapered tip that fits catheters, feeding tubes and wound-irrigation tips rather than a needle. Large volumes such as 50 and 60 ml are used for enteral feeding, for flushing catheters and tubes and for rinsing wounds and body cavities.

How do I choose a hypodermic needle gauge?

A higher gauge number means a thinner needle. Fine 27-30G needles suit intradermal and subcutaneous injection, 23-25G covers most intramuscular and subcutaneous work, and 18-21G is used for drawing up drugs and for viscous fluids. Hub colours follow the ISO colour code, so the gauge can be identified at a glance.

Which syringe and needle brands does Danyel Biotech supply in Israel?

Danyel Biotech supplies Eyoung single-use luer syringes, catheter-tip irrigation syringes and hypodermic needles, and Shandong Ruyue catheter-tip feeding syringes, to hospitals, clinics and laboratories in Israel. Prices are quoted on request - use Request a Quote on any product page.

Buying Guide

Choose the tip first: luer slip for quick routine injections, luer lock wherever the syringe connects to an IV line, stopcock or a needle that must not slip off, and a catheter tip for enteral feeding, flushing catheters and tubes or irrigating wounds. Then pick the volume closest to the dose - a syringe used near its full scale reads more accurately - and check sterility and packing (individually packed units for clinical use). For needles, a higher gauge is thinner: 27-30G for intradermal and subcutaneous work, 23-25G for most injections, 18-21G for drawing up and viscous fluids.
