The high-speed LabElite I.D. Reader takes less than three seconds to automatically scan all 2D barcoded tubes in a 96-format rack. Even more impressively, it takes five seconds for automatic identification of all 2D barcoded tubes in 384-format racks. Optional 1D barcode reading for sample racks is also available for extra sample tracking efficiency.

Condensation can interfere with barcode scanning of frozen sample tube racks. LabElite I.D. Readers include ColdScan technology to minimize condensation. By actively moving air across the barcode reader scanning window, ColdScan technology bypasses the need to thaw samples prior to scanning and eliminates any fog build-up that can inhibit or delay scanning of 2D barcoded tubes.
