Gyger SMLD 300GCR solenoid micro valves are the corrosion-resistant generation of the CERTUS FLEX dispensing valves (Hastelloy C-276 wetted parts) for aggressive media. Ten standard types (nozzle Ø 0.10 – 0.45 mm, with or without 40 µm filter), fully interchangeable with SMLD 300GC.
The unique combination of a sapphire nozzle and ruby sphere makes the micro valves from Fritz Gyger AG true world champions in terms of precision and repeatability. This enables reliable dispensing of liquids and gases.
The actual valve and the coil can be separated from one another. This way, the micro valves can be exchanged quickly and easily, be it for maintenance purposes or changing to a valve type with different dispensing properties. This offers our users and customers maximum flexibility when integrating them into their products.
For the fluid inlet and outlet, we offer a large selection of connection options, which enable even easier integration with minimal engineering effort. The large number of configuration options, such as filters, nozzle diameters and threaded connections, cover the most diverse areas of applications.
The proven valve line SMLD 300GC was further developed and optimized resulting in the SMLD 300GCR, which offers crucial benefits in regards of corrosion and the handling of aggressive medias, compared to SMLD 300GC, but remains fully compatible in size and function for all CERTUS family products.

Valve Selection
Valves with filter are for clear fluids; choose a valve without filter for proteins, very large molecules, cells, beads and media that contain solids or tend to coagulate.
Small nozzle diameter and short valve travel give the best accuracy and precision below about 500 nl, and are required for 1536-well plates (a 0.30 or 0.45 mm jet does not fit a 1536 well).
Larger nozzles and longer valve travel dispense large volumes faster and let larger molecules and particles pass; shorter valve travel gives the longest valve life.
Each valve opens and closes once per shot, is run-in with isopropanol, carries its part and serial number on the valve tube, and is calibrated in CERTUS CONTROL (version 2.0.12 or higher) as part of the complete system.
