DNA Polymerase I catalyzes the incorporation of nucleotides into double-stranded DNA in a 5'→3' direction. It also possesses a 3'→5' exonuclease (proofreading) activity. The 5'→3' exonuclease activity is useful for labeling DNA by nick translation. DNA Polymerase I is supplied in 50 mM potassium phosphate (pH 6.5), 1 mM DTT and 50% glycerol. Cat. # 2130B contains 5 of Cat. # 2130A. Please refer to Cat. # 2130A for complete product documentation and resources.
