The Western BLoT Quant HRP Substrate is a horseradish peroxidase (HRP) substrate specially developed for CCD imaging of Western blots. The signal from Western BLoT Quant is linear with respect to protein amount over a broad range of concentrations, allowing full use of the linear range of CCD detection. Western BLoT Quant produces a strong, extremely long-lived signal. These features, in combination with very low background levels, allow for long exposure times to enable the detection of low-abundance proteins. Western BLoT Quant is also compatible with X-ray film detection, although the limited dynamic range of film will make the resulting data less amenable to quantification. For applications requiring even higher sensitivity, we recommend using the Western BLoT Hyper HRP Substrate. Cat. # T7102B contains 2 of Cat. # T7102A.
