The sbeadex Lightning Starter Kit includes the components from both Core Kit A and Core Kit B, along with six diverse lysis buffers, protease K, and debris capture beads, ensuring precise nucleic acid purification tailored to your specific requirements.

Core Kit A: Recommended for most sample varieties and is particularly effective for plant samples.

Core Kit B: Optimised for specific sample types, especially mammalian tissue samples.

Our patent pending sbeadex Lightning product line brings a new era of nucleic acid isolation with a superfast and straightforward 3-step protocol. Purify nucleic acids in typically 5 minutes (lysate to eluate) from a variety of plant and animal sample materials. This innovative technology cuts time and saves costs by requiring only a binding buffer, our proprietary sbeadex particles, and an elution buffer in our Core Kits. It offers the highest flexibility and economic efficiency as the Core Kits can be combined with the optimal lysis buffers and other optional components to optimise DNA purification from specific sample types.

The sbeadex Lightning technology

This kit leverages the power of sbeadex magnetic bead technology. These superparamagnetic particles, coated with sbeadex surface chemistry, employ a novel one-step binding mechanism that ensures effective removal of impurities from the sample matrix. The recommended but optional wash step is performed with water, preventing organic/alcoholic traces in the eluate that might inhibit enzymatic downstream applications. This eliminates the need for a drying step before elution, further enhancing DNA quality.

Product Details

The sbeadex Lightning Nucleic Acid Purification Starter Kit contains all of the components required to evaluate and optimise your DNA purification performance.

It allows you to compile your optimal kit composition (Core kit A or B, lysis buffer etc.) tailored to your specific needs.

The Starter Kit includes:

binding buffers of the Core Kits A and B
sbeadex particle suspension
elution buffer
six different lysis buffers (PN, PVP, UR, BL, H, LI)
protease K solution
debris capture beads.

The sbeadex Lightning Starter Kit is suitable for 20 standard purifications (starting with 200 µL lysate), 10 purifications with Binding Buffer LP (from Core Kit A) and 10 purifications with Binding Buffer LU (from Core Kit B). For initial sample screening, it is recommended to scale down the purification reactions to start with 100 µL lysate to enable double the number of possible purifications to be performed. This will allow replicate samples to be tested with several of the possible lysis buffers, and with both possible binding buffers.

Core Kit A is suitable for the majority of sample types. Recommended for most plant samples.

Core Kit B is suitable for specific sample types especially mammalian tissue samples.

The sbeadex Lightning Nucleic Acid Purification Starter Kit is intended for testing purposes, allowing users to evaluate performance and optimise conditions and workflow for DNA purification from their specific sample types.
