NADAL® FOB Quant Test for Colibri - The NADAL® FOB Quant Test is a chromatographic immunoassay (immunological ‘Fecal Occult Blood’ Test, iFOBT) in lateral flow format for the quantitative detection of human haemoglobin in stool samples.

With the NADAL® FOB Quant test , you can carry out a quantitative determination of occult blood in faeces - directly in your practice. The analysis is automated using the nal von minden Colibr i ® Reader and delivers a result within 5 minutes.

The NADAL® FOB Quant test specifically detects human haemoglobin in the stool - in quantities that are not macroscopically visible. A positive result is not proof of colorectal neoplasia, but can be an indication of an occult source of bleeding in the colon or rectum. Quantitative measurement enables a more differentiated assessment than qualitative tests and can contribute to risk stratification. Important: A positive FOB value should always be clarified further - usually by means of a colonoscopy. The test is not a substitute for diagnostic imaging, but serves as a low-threshold preventive measure or as a diagnostic component in the case of unclear abdominal complaints or iron deficiency anaemia. Note: An excessive amount of faeces can overload the buffer solution and falsify or invalidate the result.
