IMMUNOTYPING Serum & Urine Capillary Immunotyping Kit

Fully automated monoclonal proteins identification by Capillarys electrophoresis.
Immunotyping is used to detect and identify monoclonal proteins in serum and urine. Serum and urine proteins are mixed with specific antisera against Gamma- (IgG), Alpha- (IgA), Mu- (IgM) heavy chains Kappa (κ) and Lambda (λ) free and bound light chains.
Immunoglobulins specifically react with their corresponding antiserum and each antiserum pattern (IgG, IgA, IgM, κ and λ) is automatically overlaid with the ELP (Protein Electrophoresis) reference curve. Disappearance of the abnormality in the antiserum-treated pattern indicates the presence of a monoclonal protein.
Key Benefits
- Fully automated testing: Qualitative analysis with fast separation and good resolution of serum and urine samples.
- Direct visualisation of serum and urine protein profile: for quick identification of suspect monoclonal proteins (IgG, IgA, IgM, Kappa (κ) and Lambda (λ)) involved in gammopathy.
- High quality of antisera ready to use: for an optimum reaction performance and correct monoclonal component identification.
- Scalable solutions: to best fit the need for all sized laboratories, from a standalone instrument to workcell up to a Total Lab Automation (TLA) configuration.
Main Characteristics
Test principle
- Based on the principle of capillary electrophoresis in free solution. Serum or Urine proteins are mixed with specific antisera.
- Immunoglobulins specifically react with their corresponding antiserum. At the end of the analysis, each antiserum pattern (IgG, IgA, IgM, κ and λ) is automatically overlaid with the ELP (Protein Electrophoresis) reference curve.
- Disappearance of the abnormality in the antiserum-treated pattern indicates the presence of a monoclonal protein.
Sample type
Serum & Urine
Performances
- Full traceability and positive sample ID from primary tube samples
- Full traceability and reagents management through RFID tags for both reagents and antisera
- On board antisera vials kept at cool temperature
- Full automation
- Color-coded backlit reagent containers
Sensitivity
- Monoclonal protein can be detected at a concentration as low as 12.5 mg/dL in serum. According to the mobility of the monoclonal component and polyclonal background, the sensitivity may vary.
- Protein abnormality limit of detection is approximately 9 mg/L with CAPI 3 URINE.
