MHR-SIR - rapid Mueller Hinton medium for agar disc-diffusion antibiograms read in 6 to 8 hours. Despite numerous methods for obtaining rapid antibiogram results, the agar method, used for decades, remains crucial. Our MHR-SIR media directly meets the needs of modern labs, offering a simple, reliable, cost-effective solution applicable to a wide spectrum of microbes. They are automatically read by SIRscan 2000 Automatic and SIRscan Orion machines, providing results in 6 to 8 hours for most fast-growing bacteria.
MHR-SIR medium is a standardized Mueller Hinton agar supplemented with specific complexes in order to obtain results after 5 to 7 hours of incubation for fast-growing bacteria such as Enterobacteriaceae and Staphylococcus. It can be used only with the SIRscan 2000 automatic and SIRscan Orion.
