Cellartis® Power™ Primary HEP Medium

Cellartis Power Primary HEP Medium is specially formulated to enable the long-term maintenance—cells are viable and maintain functionality for four weeks—of cryopreserved, plateable human primary hepatocytes in conventional 2D cultures. This medium further simplifies culturing of hepatocytes with a weekend-free feeding schedule.

Features

• Extended culture time—keeps primary hepatocytes viable and metabolically active for four weeks in culture as measured by CYP activities, albumin secretion, and CYP induction capabilities
• Long-term compound incubation—supports incubations of up to 10 days without medium change, enabling intrinsic clearance studies of low clearance compounds
• Flexible format—delivered frozen; may be aliquoted and refrozen
• Convenient workflow—allows a weekend-free feeding schedule [with media changes every other day (Mon, Wed, Fri) instead of daily] and eliminates complicated overlays or sandwich cultures
• Custom formulations—we offer customization of this product to better serve your research needs. If you'd like a custom formulation, please click here to reach out to our support team and discuss your requirements.
