The DensitomAX is a compact benchtop densitometer for precise determination of turbidity of suspensions according to the McFarland standard. The device has been specifically designed for use in microbiological laboratories and enables reliable standardization of samples for identification procedures and antibiotic susceptibility testing (AST). The measurement is based on the determination of optical density with digital display of the values in McFarland units. This allows cell density to be adjusted quickly and reproducibly – a crucial prerequisite for valid and comparable analytical results.

The DensitomAX provides precise turbidity measurement in the range of 0.00 to 6.0 McFarland and also allows measurements at higher concentrations.
