These antibodies are serological markers for the diagnosis of systemic vasculitis.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003ePR3 and MPO are well defined and reliable serologic markers for a definite group of primary systemic vasculitides, they are also called ANCA-associated vasculitides (AAV).\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003ePR3 is the most frequent component of cANCA and the landmark autoantigen in granulomatosis with polyangiitis (GPA, formerly named Wegener’s granulomatosis) with a clinical specificity of more than 95% for the disease.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eMPO, the main target antigen of pANCA, is present in 70% of patients with microscopic polyangiitis (MPA) and differentiates MPA from other autoimmune diseases.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe wells of the microplate of the ANCAscreen hs (high sensitive) test are coated with a mixture of highly purified human MPO and PR3. For coating with PR3 we use the same innovative anchor technology, which we have developed and implemented in the highly sensitive single antigen ELISA Anti-PR3 hs (high sensitive).
