The test samples are mixed with anti-p24 antibody, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody, and lysis buffer. This mix is then added to the wells of the included microtiter plate (12 x 8-well strips) which are coated with anti-HIV-1 p24 capture antibody and binds the p24 (an HIV-1 core protein) in your test samples. After a single wash step, the specifically-bound p24 in the sample is detected with a color-producing substrate.
